Irdeto at IBC
Sofia Digital demonstrates with IRDETO and Panasonic the combined CI+ 2.0 and HbbTV based application suite enabling paytv-operators to build their own branded TV applications using the modern Smart TV receivers. The HbbTV-based solution offers the operators’ own STB-like experience without an actual Set-top box, using the CA-module and the existing HbbTV engine in the TV set. The solution works without any additional software installation by just inserting the CA module in the TV USB slot and the application automatically sets the TV to show operator’s own configuration, including for example Channel List and Operator EPG application. SmarDTV/NEOTION at IBC
Sofia Digital demonstrates with SmarDTV and Panasonic the HbbTV operator application integrated in the CA module. The HbbTV operator application is automatically installed into the Smart TV receiver by the CA-module. With the CI+ 1.4 Conditional Access modules combined with HbbTV OpApp implementation, the CAM, directly plugged into the TV, creates a virtual STB experience for end-users while maintaining the highest level of security.
