The new product complements our extensive experience and products on over-the-top (OTT) video portals – an area where we have had successful deployments for customers since 2017. The Backstage Studio includes a full bouquet of services from ingest to transcoding and delivery to VOD portal deliveries. By partnering with world-leading brands such AWS Elemental and local professionals we can provide a one-stop-shop providing all the features of a full-fledged integrated video service offering. Depending on the customer needs video services can be provided with customer-specific hardware installation or from cloud/SaaS.
The Backstage Studio product is built on several components, which can be tailored for each delivery. Many of the components are
optional and their need for the services is agreed together with the customer. Naturally we also provide professional services in all video services areas.
Sofia Digital has implemented and delivered a number of video-on-demand applications for television and web portals with hundreds of thousand users using TV applications. One of the recent highlights in customer deployments is the Finnish National Opera and Ballet (FNOB) who are using the video platform to support their personnel during and after rehearsals. Sofia Digital provided a software-based player system with VOD management, live stream recording and scheduled MP4 file generation.
