We’re excited to share that Sofia Digital’s Stage24 Smart TV application has won the “Best TV App” category at the CSI Awards 2024! The winners were announced on 13th September during IBC2024 at Hotel Okura in Amsterdam.
The CSI Awards, established by CSI Magazine in 2003, celebrate excellence and achievement in the broadcast, video, OTT, and IoT sectors. This prestigious award recognizes Sofia Digital’s expertise in delivering top-tier Smart TV applications.
The Stage24 Smart TV application, commissioned by the Finnish National Opera and Ballet and engineered by Sofia Digital, provides an advanced platform for streaming performances directly to Smart TVs. Launched globally in January 2024, the app features a user-friendly interface, high-quality audio/video, and diverse content including pay-per-view and VOD. Built on Sofia Digital’s Unified Development Framework, the application supports multiple platforms like Tizen, WebOS and Android TV based on a single codebase. Quickly developed in under six months, the app improves customer service, reaches new audiences, and opens new revenue opportunities for Finnish National Opera and Ballet.
This is the third CSI Award for Sofia Digital, with previous wins in 2015 and 2020. We are honored to add another trophy to our collection and are grateful to everyone involved in this achievement!
